CRT is located in a 10 acre organic farm in the dry region of Hosur in Tamil Nadu. The Centre advocates integrated organic farming as a more sustainable alternative to modern agricultural practices which require unsustainable inputs like high cost fertilizers and pesticides.

CRT actively encourages small farmers to change to organic farming practices that are more profitable, eco-sensitive and conserve the earth's resources. CRT has developed and tested new organic pesticides & fertilizers and innovative agricultural practices. The Centre offers training programs in organic agriculture to small and marginal farmers. It has created a network of farmers committed to organic farming who actively engage in experimenting with the new practices and products. Participating farmers have access to a consumer-market network developed by CRT. This network consists of individuals and organizations committed to the creed of organic farming. The network provides a stable and assured market for the farmers' products thus providing them economical and psychological security.

TVSES has collaborated with the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) to establish a community college in Vanagaram in Tamil Nadu called the TVSES Community College. The college provides courses in technical and non-technical fields to Individuals who want to upgrade their skills and knowledge in their chosen areas. TVSES-CC will continue to add on courses every year depending on the needs of the industry and the community.

TVSES Community College provides a multi-skilled training that equips youth with competencies in various occupational fields and generates wider employment opportunities.

TVSES-CC offers training programs in technical and other occupational areas. It also offers life-skill courses which help students manage their finances, access jobs related to their skills, and organise themselves for self employment. The students, at the end of each course, will receive a certification from IGNOU which gives them a greater credibility in the job market.
